A Premier Golf League has been the talk of the Tour over the last week or so and the rumours of some big-name players breaking away refuses to die down. The World Golf Group outlined a proposal that would bring together 48 of the best players in the world in an 18-event season with a total prize pool of £183 million.
Already Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have been approached but nothing is set in stone and with both the PGA and European Tour’s making it clear that players would have to choose between one or the other, could we be heading for a divide at the top of the game?
